چکیده

The growth of small perturbations and the temperature correlation function of cosmic background radiation induced by the perturbations in the isotropic and homogeneous universe with arbitrary spatial curvature, filled with nonrelativistic and so-called string-like matter is calculated. It is shown that both magnitudes are insensitive to the eventual existence of the string-like matter in the universe. The widespread opinion that the string-like matter dominated universe suppresses the growth of perturbation is verified.

Gravitational waves in a stringlike fluid cosmology

The coupling of a stringlike fluid with ordinary matter and gravity may lead to a closed Universe with the dynamic of an open one. This can provide an alternative solution for the age and horizon problems. A study of density perturbations of the stringlike fluid indicates the existence of instabilities in the small wavelength limit when it is employed a hydrodynamic approach. Here, we extend th...

The Standard Cosmological Model and CMB Anisotropies

This is a course on cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropies in the standard cosmological model, designed for beginning graduate students and advanced undergraduates. “Standard cosmological model” in this context means a Universe dominated by some form of cold dark matter (CDM) with adiabatic perturbations generated at some initial epoch, e.g., Inflation, and left to evolve under gravity ...

U Nderstanding Cmb a Nisotropies a Nd T Heir

Working toward a model independent understanding of cosmic microwave background (CMB) anisotropies and their significance, we undertake a comprehensive and self-contained study of scalar perturbation theory. Initial conditions, evolution, thermal history, matter content, background dynamics, and geometry all play a role in determining the anisotropy. By employing analytic techniques to illumina...

A Complete Treatment of Cmb Anisotropies in a Frw Universe

We generalize the total angular momentum method for computing Cosmic Microwave Background anisotropies to Friedman-Robertson-Walker (FRW) spaces with arbitrary geometries. This uni es the treatment of temperature and polarization anisotropies generated by scalar, vector and tensor perturbations of the fluid, seed, or a scalar eld, in a universe with constant comoving curvature. The resulting fo...

Cosmic Microwave Background Anisotropies in the Cdm Model: a Covariant and Gauge-invariant Approach

We present a fully covariant and gauge-invariant calculation of the evolution of anisotropies in the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation. We use the physically appealing covariant approach to cosmological perturbations, which ensures that all variables are gauge-invariant and have a clear physical interpretation. We derive the complete set of frame-independent linearised equations descr...
